Mel Stephenson is a fine artist, illustrator and writer. She grew up in the UK where she lived mostly in her imagination making art and stories to soften the noise of the world. Later, she moved from London to live in the Austrian Alps and the British Columbian Canadian mountains before returning to the English countryside with her husband and two girls in tow.

Always busy with the big questions — who are we and why are we here? — Mel’s journey has taken her deep into the world of story, the nature of reality, and the science of inner transformation. Exploring her own and others’ stories as an arts psychotherapist, she understood what people tell themselves either limit or expand them, and so she began to reclaim her mind and imagine a new story into existence, for herself, her children and the world.

Her practice focuses on creating inspiring content for children and the inner child, including picture books for all ages, oracle cards, prints with affirmations, and merchandise to surround people with healing and upliftment, align the heart and mind, and feed the imagination.

As a traditional artist, she loves the physicality of paint and line bridging the connection between herself and the receiver, and blending the real and imagined into a whole new metaphorical landscape. Her ideas come from the dance between human experience, quantum science and spirituality. Her wish is to touch people’s hearts and awaken the spark within to activate the cosmic, free self.
